It is our genuine pleasure to offer five different types of braces here at Straight Smiles Orthodontics. We don’t believe that one size fits all, or in applying an assembly line approach. Instead, we treat each and every one of our valued patients as the unique individuals that they are.
Traditional metal braces are familiar to nearly everyone, though not necessarily in their current look. Our St. James braces are more lightweight and even stylish. Some people do prefer them for various reasons, including the fact that they do an impressive job of repositioning teeth. What about the other four types of our St. James braces, though? Ceramic are constructed in a similar way to their metal counterparts, but they are smaller and more important, due to the color of the material, they blend in much less noticeable with your teeth. It’s with clear braces, however, that the idea of aesthetics really gets ramped up. These are virtually invisible. And their plastic construction ensures greater comfort, too. In addition, they can be removed and put back in by you. Take them out when you eat, allowing you to avoid the food restrictions that are part of wearing other kinds of braces. You won’t have to make as many trips to our office, either. This is also true of self-ligating braces, which eliminate the elastics of standard braces, creating a simpler course of treatment with less maintenance. And finally, lingual braces are placed behind, instead of in front of, your teeth, keeping them mostly hidden from view.
Which of our St. James braces are the best for your needs and preferences? To find out the answer, and also to determine which are likely to give you the results you want, just contact our office and schedule an appointment to come in for a consultation and examination.
